Dawid Roux started career in 1982 when he joined the National Press in South Africa as a press photographer for
Media24, in those days known as Nasionale Pers.
For 31 years he took, edited and produced photos that appeared in the South African press and overseas publications on a daily basis.
This has enabled him to capture the moment and the action in real-time.
Not all photographers get the opportunity to cover national news events in such a manner.
This experience has enabled him to think on his feet and make split second decisions as the events happen.
